Cell Tower at Fire Station #2

The Cell Tower at Fire Station #2 project is located at 1574 Old Mammoth Road on a 0.91-acre site within the Resort Zoning District (Snowcreek Master Plan Area). The proposed project consists of an 80' tall monopine cell tower located in the rear of the Mammoth Lakes Fire Protection District's property. 

The project includes a Use Permit Application (UPA 23-002). The Use Permit is required pursuant to Zoning Code Section 17.52.280-Telecommunications Facilities

Town Council Appeal Public Hearing - April 3, 2024 Meeting

On February 29, 2024, the Snowcreek VII Condominium Owner’s Association submitted an appeal of the decision of the PEDC. The appeal was timely filed within the 15-day appeal period following the project approval. A public hearing  for consideration of the appeal will take place at the April 3, 2024 Town Council meeting.

The item was approved by the Planning and Economic Development Committee at their meeting on 2/14/2024.

At the November 8, 2023 Planning and Economic Development Commission meeting no action was taken, and the item was continued to the December 13, 2023 meeting.
