COMMUNITY TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY | December 5, 2025

The community Tree Lighting Ceremony returns to Mammoth Creek Park on Friday, December 5, 2025 Join us for this fun, festive and family event, followed by ice skating at LA Kings Ice at Mammoth Lakes. Admissions and skate rental is FREE for members and only $10 for non-members.

PARK AND RECREATION MONTH | July, 2026

BIKE RODEO | September, 2026

Join our Bike Rodeo at Shady Rest Park!  We always host it on a school minimum day from 12:30 - 4:00pm.  Activities include Hot Dog Roast, Bike Safety Course, Short Course Peddle Bike Races, Eastern Sierra Strider Bike Classic, Snail Race, and Gran Fondue.  This event is free to all! 

TRASHY THURSDAYS | Summer/Fall 2026 | EVERY THURSDAY

Get ready to make a difference in your community! Join us for Trashy Thursdays this summer and keep Mammoth clean! Youth participants will receive prizes for participation, and for adults, there's a chance to win a $50 gift cards and prizes from our partners in our weekly raffle. WINTER RECREATION EXPO / ANNUAL MEMBERSHIPS SALE | October 2, 2025

Join the Mammoth Lakes Parks and Recreation Department for the second annual Winter Recreation Expo on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at LA Kings Ice at Mammoth Lakes operating in the Community Recreation Center (CRC). The Winter Expo will be held simultaneously, providing information on recreation opportunities available in Mammoth Lakes this winter and the opportunity to register in-person for Parks and Recreation winter programs.

HALLOWEEN PARTY AND HAUNTED ICE RINK | October 24, 2025

The Friday before Halloween is the Halloween Party and Haunted Ice Rink, a Mammoth tradition! Fun for the whole family, this party on skates is FREE for members and just $5 for non-members and includes carnival-style games, costume contest, and skate rentals while they last. Cakewalk and concessions extra. Non-skating adults are FREE. So mark your calendars, plan your costume and join us for some spooky fun at LA Kings Ice at Mammoth Lakes.
