Mammoth Lakes PRMP Final Logo_ENGLISH_WITH IMAGES

The Town of Mammoth Lakes is developing a new Parks & Recreation Master Plan (PRMP) to serve as a guiding document for improving and expanding parks, recreation facilities, trails, and programs. The PRMP will articulate a clear vision for the future and serve as a recreation “roadmap” for the next 10+ years.

The PRMP will include:

  • An inventory and analysis of existing parks, recreation facilities, and programs
  • A comprehensive community engagement process
  • A financial sustainability plan
  • Conceptual site plans to enhance existing and new parks
  • Updated goals, policies, and projects designed to address local and regional needs
  • A strategic action plan to guide implementation

We Want to Hear from You!

The Town is committed to creating a community-driven PRMP that addresses the needs and interests of all community members, including residents, second homeowners, visitors, seasonal employees, and other stakeholders. The Town has hired the California-based planning and design firm KTUA to lead this process with a commitment to accessible and inclusive community engagement. Community input will be collected through diverse and distinct engagement methods, including pop-up booths, surveys, public workshops, stakeholder focus group meetings, and more.
