The VC#3 is Thursday, July 9, in the Sherwin Meadow by the propane tanks. Course has been changed up and we will run a STRAVA challenge again with the following rules, guidelines and changes:

  • There will not be a mass start - each competitor will ride solo at any time between 3:30pm and 5:30 pm. The course will be on Strava as: 2020 SEMBA VC Rock Trail Challenge. It begins and ends in the paved parking lot right off of Sherwin Creek Road.
  • The start and finish will be in the same area as the earlier course. The start will be the same out the gravel road to the Lower Meadow Trail Connector and climb that counterclockwise just as before. The course will continue on the Meadow Trail Connector all the way to the end, then go straight onto the Upper Meadow Connector and climb up to Mammoth Rock Trail. Go left on Mammoth Rock Trail all the way down to the Rock Trail Connector (No KITTY LITTER).  Stay left onto Rock Trail Connector down the switch backs to the trail head and then hard right on the bumpy gravel road, onto the pavement and to the finish in the parking lot.  This is a more difficult loop than the other VC course, as there are numerous technical sections and a tricky tough climb up to Rock Trail!
  • You can ride one lap (4 miles) or two laps (8 miles).
  • Your ride must start no earlier than 3:30 pm and no later than 5:30 pm
  • SEMBA will have a hospitality/support tent with water and Clif bars for participants between the above mentioned hours and also have course information if needed.
  • The course will be marked between the above indicated times, but much easier to memorize than than the other VC course.
  • Every participant must upload their ride to STRAVA to have their time recorded.
  • Every rider and their guests parents, etc. must wear a mask when socializing.
  • You do not need to wear your mask while riding.
  • Please adhere to physical distancing.
  • No waiver is needed since this is a solo ride and not a mass start or gathering.
  • We will award the fastest 2 lap female and male for the day, and fastest 1 lap boy and girl based off of your STRAVA upload.
  • Winners for each category will receive a gift from Clif Bar.
