Recreation This Week!

Get Outdoors and Recreate Responsibly

Quarantine fatigue is setting in for most of us. We highly recommend getting outdoors for part of your day while recreating responsibly. What does that mean? Try to maintain at least 6' of distance between you and members of the public at all times. While masks are not required they are recommended in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. Try to keep a mask on your person for those unexpected crowds along the trail, single track, parking lot, or wherever you enjoy recreating. Check out this video from Mammoth Hospital demonstrating how to recreate responsibly with your family or with others. Lastly, leave that outdoor space in as good of a condition or better than you found it.

Three decades after the world's most infamous nuclear disaster, wildlife has returned in the absence of human settlements. Meanwhile, illegal hiking adventurers known as "stalkers," extreme sports aficionados, artists, and tour companies have begun to explore anew the ghostly, post-apocalyptic landscape.
