2020 Summer Recreation Expo

Mark your calendars, Tuesday March 31 is the Summer Recreation Expo at the Mammoth High School Gym. This is your one-stop shop for all things summer recreation for ages 1-100. Discover a new adventure for yourself or your family with over 30 vendors explaining the latest and greatest in Mammoth Lakes summer recreation including camps, products, special events and more!

The Mammoth Lakes Adult Hockey Tournament will host teams from Tahoe and Los Angeles, as well as some home-grown heroes. Come cheer them on at the Mammoth Ice Rink this weekend. Visit www.mammothicerink.com for game schedules.

Instructional Basketball
This free program is open to children in first and second grade to introduce basketball fundamentals.

After School Art
Get Creative with artist Kelly Turner. Children will be working on their drawing skills. Some instruction but the main focus is on seeing like an artist. Really inspiring, fun still life boxes set up to be drawn with colored pencils, pastels, markers and watercolors. Smocks available. Please send child with water and snacks.

Open Studio
Join local artist Kelly Turner for an open studio session at the Mammoth Lakes Community Center for the first three Monday nights in February. New artists can try their hand at drawing or painting under Kelly’s guidance for $30, materials included. Other artists can join the open studio with their own pieces they are working on whether that be drawing, painting, sculpture, jewelry making, digital art and hang out and collaborate with other artists for $10 per session.

Stretching and Storytime at the Mammoth Lakes Library is Saturday, February 8 10-11 am. Ages 2-10. Bring your own yoga mat.

Join Sierra Club’s XC Ski or snowshoe outing to Mammoth Lakes Basin this Sunday, February 9 from 8:30 am to 2:15 pm. Take the public trial to horseshoe lake then up to lake George.
